The Account Executive position requires a sales professional who is intimately familiar with the sales process and whose role is to actively seek, qualify and close new business opportunities, manage a portfolio of assigned customers and develop new business from existing clients. In addition to finding and landing new customers, along with managing customer relationships, the Account Executive will be directly responsible for the preservation and expansion of our customer base using a results-driven approach.Essential Duties:-Prospect and sell by networking with Property Managers, Building Owners, Asset Managers, Building Engineers, Developers and other commercial roofing industry decision makers, to sell roof replacements and service contracts, promote the Roof Partners brand, generate interest and nurture long term relationships.-Develop new sales opportunities from start to finish utilizing a sales pipeline that embodies a purchasing process from proactive prospecting to closing the deal, all while keeping the stakeholders well informed.-Prospect and sell to new customers at the key account and high value target level.-Cross-sell and generate new/additional business with current accounts.-Achieve unit volume, revenue and market-share goals set by manager.-Work with others to maintain good communication and cooperative working relationships between departments.-Have the ability to travel to see prospects and customers throughout Atlanta Metro area.-Available to represent Roof Partners at trade shows and events.-Resolve problems with customers and internal team members when necessary.-Provide, via DataForma web-based management software, regular reports regarding activity, productivity, revenue performance and account/prospect status.-Follow company practices and policies for processing, invoicing, calculation of sales.-Develop annual and quarterly sales strategic plan, and adhere to individual quarterly revenue budget and account plans.-Demonstrate ability to handle objections by creative problem solving.
Job Requirements: -Minimum 5 years’ of experience in the commercial roofing and/or building construction industry as a high-performing sales person and account manager, who is highly trained in the sales process, with a proven track record producing new revenue.-Experience selling and building new territory.-Experience making cold calls and continually finding and generating business from new customers.-Experience selling new business via existing accounts through referrals.-Must be willing and able to work the hours necessitated by the job.-Creative problem solving skills to produce solutions to customer problems and handle objections.-Strong organizational time management and prioritization skills.-Excellent oral and written communication skills.-Strong interpersonal & people skills.-Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google.-Knowledge & understanding of commercial roofing market is a huge plus.-Must be a self-starter and someone who feels ownership for activities and results.-Ability to work in a small company environment that is continually changing and growing.Competencies Must Include: -Personal Effectiveness: Demonstrating initiative, self-confidence, resiliency and a willingness to take responsibility for personal actions.-Professionalism: Dealing directly and forthrightly with people and problems, persisting to get the job done, and managing personal responses and stress.-Flexibility: Performing a wide range of tasks, responding to changes in direction and priorities, and accepting new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.-Self-Management: Demonstrating self-control and an ability to manage time and priorities.-Goal Orientation: Energetically focusing efforts on meeting a goal, mission or objective.-Interpersonal Skills: Effectively communicating, building rapport and relating well to all kinds of people.-Negotiation Skills: Influencing others to agree on terms for the purchase of commercial roofing products and services.
