Employee will perform skilled, complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating, ventilating, air conditioning equipment and energy management systems. The duties of the job will include:
1. Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning equipment and systems to optimize energy use.
2. Operate a variety of equipment such as hand tools, lap top computers and diagnostic hardware to perform work.
3. Install, maintain and repair computerized electronic pneumatic and digital direct control devises related to HVAC and heat control.
4. Operate various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
5. Requisition material and supplies from stockroom, call vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and recommend purchases and suppliers.
6. Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams.
7. Maintain electronic/pneumatic testing equipment.
8. Perform brazing, soldering, pipe fitting, welding and fabrication as required.
